Welcome To Rhein International Academy!

Rhein International Academy’s preschool and kindergarten curriculum is designed to establish a strong foundation of learning for each child. The curriculum and instruction is developmentally appropriate, hands on, and responsive to individuals’ abilities and interests.
The development of each student's social/emotional skills is a major emphasis of our curriculum. Activities, lessons, play, and a nurturing environment stimulate the students to increase their verbal, sharing, and listening skills. The students are encouraged and supported by the teachers to acquire self-help skills such as zipping, buttoning, and tying.
Through integrated, thematic, hands-on literature rich lessons, basic readiness skills are developed in reading, writing, math, health, science, and social studies. Letter and number recognition, letter sounds, shapes, sorting, counting, and distinguishing colors are highlighted. Fine motor skills are strengthened through cutting, coloring, tracing, and writing.
The Science curriculum provides opportunities for the students to become familiar with the process of science investigation: observation, gathering information, making predictions, designing an experiment, and drawing conclusions. Topics covered include the seasons, weather, animals, and plants.
The students interact in learning centers to reinforce skills, to use their imagination, interpersonal skills, and creativity. The students will utilize classroom computers and gym, art, German, and music will be part of their weekly program.
