Building a strong sense of community within our school is highly important to the administration and staff of Rhein International Academy. Our staff works to create a nurturing and joyful educational environment with a personalized atmosphere that focuses on maximizing each child’s individual development.
We desire to meet the academic and social needs of the expatriate and local community in and around Weil-am-Rhein, who are looking for high-quality educational experience. These families are drawn to our holistic approach and caring environment, which is based upon our belief that all children are created by God as innately precious beings and should be treated by such. We recognize that parents are the primary educators of their children so parents have open communication with their child’s teachers and are asked to contribute in whatever way they can towards the program.
Building community begins in each class and spreads throughout the school. Therefore, we plan to keep our student teacher ratios low. In our preschool and kindergarten, our class size is 10 students per teacher; while our elementary school classes have a limit of 15 students per class. In addition to small class sizes, our teachers work with the student to learn those character traits and social skills that will make the school a place where the children enjoy being.
